Intelligent heating with seamless Gas and Electric efficiency
SmartSens Hybrid Controller (for ducted air heating/cooling with gas boost) takes advantage of both gas and electric power sources to heat your home quickly and efficiently. Gas is used for fast and effective adjustment to get your room to the ideal temperature. Once achieved, SmartSens switches to electric for more efficient running.
The controller automatically switches from gas to electricity for heating when the ambient temperature reaches 8°C. Within the temperature range of 8°C to 18°C, the gas heater may supplement heating if desired comfort levels are not achieved within fifteen minutes.
If you have a Brivis StarPro or a Buffalo BX5 Ducted Gas Heater, it may be configured to a Brivis ICE™ add-on inverter - a ducted air conditioning system.
A SmartSens Hybrid Controller can be retrofitted to enable the convenience of both gas and electric heating of your home.

The SmartSens Hybrid Controller is the smart way to heat your home. It uses gas to heat rooms fast, then switches to electric for more efficient running.
The controller contains a 7-day program and preset temperature settings for configured zones. The N-T1 zone sensor is compatible with the SmartSens Hybrid system, even those currently configured and operational.
SmartSens Hybrid Controller also works with ZonePlus™ which allows you to control up to four individual zones each with their own timer, temperature settings and reduced running costs.
It is compatible with the following Brivis products configured to a Brivis ICE™ add-on inverter:
- Brivis StarPro Ducted Gas Heater
- Buffalo BX5 Ducted Gas Heater
